No Recourse to Public Funds Training
NEW! Introduction to No Recourse to Public funding – 10 April 2025 – 10am – 12.30pm – Zoom
The session will cover:
•The ability to distinguish between different immigration statuses and the rights and restrictions they confer.
•The ability to identify whether a local authority has the power to provide financial support, accommodation and/or care.
•An understanding of the legal framework, including The Children Act, The Care Act, The Nationality Immigration and Asylum Act, The Immigration and Asylum Act, The Mental Health Act and relevant case law.
•An understanding of the procedures and assessments involved in accessing support.
•An understanding of the other services available to migrants with no recourse to public funds.

NEW! Workshops on Learning from Rapid Reviews – 27 March 2025 5pm – 7pm – MS Teams and 28 March 10.30am – 12.30am – MS Teams
Aims:
To implement identified learning from the rapid review process
Disseminate wider learning from the rapid reviews held by the National Panel in the 2024/25 period
Ensure the learning is understood by practitioners, managers and organisations
Explore how the learning can be embedded in practice and systems
Graded Care Profile 2 – 1 April 2025 – 9.30am – 1pm – Church Square House
The training will provide practitioners with the knowledge and skills to be accredited for use of the Graded Care Profile 2 (GCP2). Copies of the tool will be shared after the training.
The GCP2 is a practical tool which supports practitioners in measuring the quality of care delivered to an individual child from an individual carer or carers over a short window of time and is designed to give a representative overview of the current level of care.
