cMARS ‘Raising Awareness’ Week 2025 16 June – 20 June 2025
We are happy to share that cMARS Raising Awareness Week 2025 was a success! Over the past week, we’ve come together to shine a spotlight on key areas and engagement a with these sessions has been evident across the partnership.
Throughout the week, we hosted a variety of webinars and shared a range of resources that link to the recently revised cMARS Shine a Light areas.

Upcoming Training
Graded Care Profile – 8 July – Face to Face – CSH – 9.30am – 1PM
The training will provide practitioners with the knowledge and
skills to be accredited for use of the Graded Care Profile 2 (GCP2).
Copies of the tool will be shared after the training.
The GCP2 is a practical tool which supports practitioners in
measuring the quality of care delivered to an individual child from
an individual carer or carers over a short window of time and is
designed to give a representative overview of the current level of
care.
Preparing and Report Writing for Child Protection Conference Training – 8 July 2025 via MS Teams 1pm – 2pm
• To increase confidence in preparing Child Protection conference reports
• What to expect when attending Child Protection Conferences.
Managing Allegations – The Role of Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) for School Leaders 15 July – Face to Face – The Baths Hall – 9.30am – 11.30am
The aim of the workshop is to know what an allegation is, explore What is the SCOPE, what constitutes harm, low level concerns (linked to KCSIE 2024), and what to do when an allegation is made regarding someone who works or volunteers with children. The workshop will also cover
records keeping, the role of the Chair of Governor and Whistleblowing.
Objectives:
• To have an understanding of the role of LADO
• To have an understanding of the managing allegations process from
start to conclusion
• To effectively respond to and manage allegations.
Multi Agency Strategy Meeting – 17 July 2025 via MS Teams 10am – 12pm
Learning Outcomes
• Understand the Purpose of a Strategy Discussion and why they are
held.
• Identify all of the different types of harm
• Identify what constitutes significant harm
• Identify relevant types/sources of evidence required to establish each
type of harm
• What information is required to be shared at a strategy discussion and the key principles of information sharing where there are safeguarding
concerns.
• The role of the chair
• Consideration of the Achieving Best Evidence Guidance, medicals and child sexual assault referrals
• Setting priority actions and Investigation planning

FREE Training: Suicide Prevention in the Context of Domestic Abuse
Suicide Prevention in the Context of Domestic Abuse: Half-day, Foundation
Domestic abuse significantly increases the risk of suicidality amongst both victims and the perpetrators of abusive behaviours. The trauma and emotional distress caused by abuse can lead to feelings of hopelessness, depression, and anxiety, which are major risk factors for suicidal thoughts and behaviours.
This insightful training session is designed to equip professionals and volunteers with the knowledge and basic skills needed to support people at increased risk of domestic abuse and suicidality.
This course not only raises awareness of domestic abuse and suicide prevention but also provides practical strategies for engaging with individuals at risk, mitigating risk, and accessing appropriate support services.
Our trainers provide strategies for recognising and addressing one’s support requirements, enhancing resilience, and averting burnout while aiding individuals in vulnerable situations.
