Reflective wellbeing session guidance

In keeping with the Children’s MARS Board’s commitment to supporting practitioners and promoting a culture of learning, the concept of a reflective wellbeing session has been developed as an opportunity to provide a reflective space for the workforce and partnership to come together following a significant event to reflect on the impact that this has had, share thoughts, feelings and experiences to build resilience.

7 Minute Briefings

To strengthen multi-agency safeguarding practice, we encourage all partner organisations to routinely use the Children’s MARS 7 Minute Briefings during team meetings, supervision sessions, and case discussions.

These guides provide practical, evidence-based support to help professionals make informed decisions and maintain consistent standards across agencies. Regular use will:

  • Promote shared understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures.
  • Ensure alignment with local and statutory requirements.

Please integrate these briefings into your team’s regular discussions and planning processes to embed best practice and enhance outcomes for children and families.
